Apparel
Next Level Apparel customizes their fabrics that make for smooth, easy printing. Their manufacturing waste initiatives reduce scrap fabric by 2+ million pounds per year, with millions of plastic bottles being recycled since the launch of their Sustainable Collection. Recently, they’ve engaged a 3rd party consultancy to conduct an ESG Materiality Assessment that will guide our ESG strategies in 2022 and beyond.
While they may not be the most eco-friendly option out there, they do their best with what they can. Their garments are soft to the touch and very similar to Bella + Canvas. Although, we personally think they are sliiiiiightly heavier weight. Slightly.
Variety: High. Men, women, and children apparel with a large line of tanks, tees, long sleeves, crewnecks, hoodies, and a few bottoms.
Much like Allmade, Bella + Canvas makes many conscious efforts in their processes. They dye all of their fabric in Los Angeles and abide by some of the strictest EPA regulations in the world. Their dyes are environmentally friendly and Blue Sign approved. By using ultra-efficient dye machines, they use 7x less water than the average clothing manufacturer, saving 24 million gallons a week. Any water we do use goes through a filtration system that ensures no chemicals or dyes end up in our natural water systems. Their headquarters focus on going green by using natural skylights and motion sensor LED lighting, as well as providing electric charging stations to encourage employees to go green as well. Their manufacturing facilities and LA Headquarters produce almost no landfill because they recycle pretty much everything that can't be turned into a tee. They’ve optimized their cutting to reduce plastic use, and excess fabric is recycled into a number of things like baby bibs or stuffing for upholstery. Let nothing go to waste! In 2021 or early in 2022 they started building multi megawatt solar farms in Nicaragua and Honduras, helping these countries move from dirty fossil fuels to renewable energy.
So yeah, there you have it.
Bella + Canvas’ quality is comparable to Next Level, however, they have a ‘spongier’ fleece option when it comes to sweatshirts, along with a marginally wider sweatshirt selection.
Variety: High. Men, women, and children apparel with a very large line of tanks, tees, long sleeves, crewnecks, hoodies, and bottoms.
Independent Trading Co. (not to be confused with Independent Truck Co.) has proven to be a leading manufacturer when it comes to fleece. Their factories are WRAP certified (Worldwide Responsible Apparel Production)- which is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to the certification of lawful, humane, and ethical manufacturing throughout the world. They are also OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Certified, which tests for harmful substances in textiles.
With a great selection of sweatshirts, hoodies, sweatpants, jackets, you can’t go wrong. Not to mention, they’ve got some great color options as well.
Variety: Medium. Men, women, and children apparel that focuses on fleece sweatshirts, crewnecks, hoodies, jackets, and long sleeves.
AS Colour is a California based manufacturing company that focuses on making premium apparel. Their unique production process involves not only cut and sew, but also the manufacture of textile yarn, meaning that their suppliers are not buying off the market. AS Colour specializes in fine combed cotton fabrics, which are designed specifically to screen print better than basic carded or uncombed cotton. Producing combed cotton garments is a more involved process and does cost more, but AS Colour is all about providing the very best blank canvases on which you can print your ideas.
A personal favorite of West Cliff Ink, the quality and fit of their apparel is supreme. However, good quality does not come cheap. Many would say it’s worth it, but the choice is yours.
Variety: Medium. Men, women, and kids apparel with a moderate line of tanks, tees, long sleeves, sweatshirts, bottoms, and accessories.

A fan favorite for tees, they are infamous for their, well, …colors. The results leave you with a vintage look and feel that is incomparable.
